Happy wedding season! Trends come and go from season to season while others make a lasting impression and stick around for multiple seasons. Here are 23 wedding trends we love and are excited to see this wedding season!

1. Mismatched Bridesmaids

We love this trend! Let your bridesmaids choose a dress that fits a colour palette to have a unique bridal party that feels just as beautiful as you do on your big day!

2. Statement Decor

Create a wow moment at your wedding by hiring a designer or a decor company to create the perfect decor installation. Choose anything from a dramatic ceiling, florals hanging or trees perfectly placed around the room.

Many guest counts are getting lower as couples are forgoing traditions and larger receptions for an intimate event shared with their partner.

Many brides are opting for timeless and classic styling by selecting headbands, pearls, dramatic veils and sleeves. While others are choosing a more fun and modern look with bows, feathers, asymmetrical necklines, colourful dresses, cape veils or mini sparkly dresses.

10. Groom Styling

Many grooms are choosing non-traditional styles this season. Including patterned or coloured suits. Grooms are putting a twist on the classic boutonnieres by choosing to forgo one or choosing a pocket boutonniere!

11. First Touch

If you don’t want to see your partner before your ceremony but would like to have a special moment before you both walk down the aisle this first touch is a great solution! Just hold each other’s hand moments before you get married!

These photos capture fun and romantic moments using movement and are very candid. This style of photo is becoming increasingly popular and many photographers choose to take these in a black-and-white setting.

South Asian weddings will continue to have outdoor venues. Couples are loving the freedom of larger scenic spaces that allow decor creativity while accommodating the traditionally large guest count for rituals such as Baraat engagement and wedding.
